A League of My Own Wiki

The Plan Moving Forward is the fourth episode of A League of My Own.

Plot[]

With Gwen, Max, and the rest of the Justice League catching up to Ben, Green Lantern apologizes on behalf of the team, mentioning that they were simply taking caution due to a rumor that the Omnitrix's creator had destroyed a planet. While Green Lantern analyzes the Omnitrix, Gwen insists that Hawkgirl apologize, given that she started the mess, but she only gives a backhanded apology, which Flash says is the best she can do. Green Lantern finishes his analysis and confirms that it is merged with Ben's arm, showing a holographic projection of the Omnitrix and Ben's arm to Superman, Batman, and Martian Manhunter to prove his point.

Much to Hawkgirl's chagrin, the League agrees with Max that Ben can still be trusted with the Omnitrix, though Batman is still cautious about the potential of the device. Wonder Woman, on the other hand, acknowledges these concerns and offers to train Ben, much to his excitement. She asks for permission from Max, but he says it's up to Ben, who agrees to train with Wonder Woman.

Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl are the first to fly off, while Superman formally apologizes to Max and says he will continue to look into the Omnitrix. Flash, meanwhile, offers to help Wonder Woman with the training, due to his fondness for children, with the Amazon accepting his offer. Before Superman and Batman leave as well, Superman slyly remarks to Max about hoping he finds what he's looking for at Mount Rushmore. Gwen questions this comment, and Max says she will find out when they get there.

Immediately, Ben begins to practice training with Wonder Woman, however, the training burns Ben out quickly and he collapses on the grass, with Gwen snarkily commenting about Ben's heart exploding.

Trivia[]

  • Ben learning that the creator of the Omnitrix, Azmuth, may or may not have blown up a planet is a reference to the reveal in Ben 10: Ultimate Alien that one of Azmuth's previous creations, Ascalon, was used by a warrior to destroy the Incursean homeworld.
  • Superman's comment about Mount Rushmore, and Max's subsequent remark to Gwen about it, reference how Mount Rushmore was revealed to be a secret Plumbers base.
